Nineteen-year-old Boston singing and basketball phenomenon AYLA BROWN was named Best Female High School Basketball player in Massachusetts in 2004 and 2005.

During her senior year in high school, she auditioned for American Idol’s fifth season in August of 2005 and quickly became one of America’s sweethearts. For her audition song in Boston she sang “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson felt her passion and granted Ayla a ticket to Hollywood! She survived a series of hard cuts and finally got the nod to move onto the Top 24. This was a huge accomplishment, considering the fierce competition and crazy, nerve-racking auditions.
Ayla appeared before more than 30 million viewers on American Idol three times a week until she was eliminated from the show on March 9, 2006. She placed 13th out of tens of thousands who auditioned that season. To be able to survive and get into the top tier was a amazing experience that she will always remember.

Upon elimination Ayla told Ryan Seacrest, “The most valuable lesson for me personally has been to realize what’s important in life… to work hard for something you’re passionate about, and I’m really passionate about basketball and singing.”
Ayla has made numerous New England and Boston-area appearances.  Amongst her most notable was performing at Boston’s nationally televised July 4th celebration on the Esplanade with conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops. She has performed three times with the legendary Boston Orchestra, and had the opportunity to sing the title track and first single, “Forward” from her debut album, backed by the BSO in front of 15,000 people.  Another highlight was singing the National Anthem for all of Boston’s five major league teams - the Boston Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins and N.E. Revolution.   Ayla also recently performed her single with James Montgomery and his blues band.

She also performed in front of an audience of over 30,000 at Kiss 108 FM’s annual Concert at the Tweeter Center. She kept busy and also sang at the second annual Hot Stove, Cool Music concert at Fenway Park in Boston.  Ayla is the daughter of Boston TV personality Gail Huff, and Senator Scott Brown.  She has a 16 year old sister Arianna.

With a debut album in stores and a college basketball career in full swing, it’s easy to see that NOW is when Ayla’s dreams turn to reality. So sit tight and take a ride as Ayla bolts “forward” with her life and her music… it’s going to be fantastic, fast and furious!

Her debut album FORWARD is a reflection of her diverse qualities. They’re what helped to make Ayla an American Idol darling. Her new CD is due in stores July 10, 2007 on Double Deal Brand Records which is distributed nationally by CBuJ Entertainment Inc.

Double Deal Brand Records was formed in 2004 by three music vets who wanted to form a full-service music label that partners with artists and assists in managing multiple parts of their careers.  The rapidly expanding label currently has four artists with active releases, with a total of 12 albums and one DVD in the marketplace, as well as numerous digital singles for sale online.  The label features American Idol Season 5 finalist Ayla Brown, Kansas City Celtic-rock legends The Elders, Nashville's Brother Henry, featuring producer David Henry, and American Idol Season 5 finalist Will Makar.  Double Deal Brand is distributed in the U.S. by CBuJ Entertainment, which is located in Nashville, TN. The releases are available at all national retail stores and at all digital stores online.

FORWARD is packed with power-pop hits like "Know You Better," "Sugah" & "I Quit" as well as stadium anthems like "Breaking Away" and power ballads like her debut single “Forward.” These are the trademarks that won her Idol recognition and made Ayla a favorite among millions of viewers every week on American Idol.

The album also features songs written by Diane Warren (multi-Grammy Award Winner), Tommy Sims (1997 Grammy Award, Song of the Year, "Change The World"), David Eriksen (Clay Aiken), Ruby Amanfu (U.K. pop star and songwriter), Jonatha Brooke, Phil Thornalley (Natalie Imbruglia’s "Torn") as well as two tracks co-written by Ayla.

The album was recorded in New York at Tonic Studios, Raw Sugar Studios and Double Deal Studios.  The record was mixed at A Pawling Studios by Peter Moshay (Mariah Carey and Hall & Oates.)
